ABOUT NT SECURITY SOLUTIONS

NT Security Solutions

NT Security Solutions (NTSS) is proudly part of the One Business Pty Ltd group—a Territory Proud, family-owned business based in Darwin. We acknowledge the Larrakia people as the Traditional Owners of the land and waters on which our business is founded and continues to grow. We also pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the Northern Territory.

As a locally owned Indigenous business, we are committed to delivering reliable, culturally aware, and community-focused security services throughout the NT. With extensive experience across both remote and urban environments, our team provides tailored security systems and expert consulting that protect what matters most—people, property, and peace of mind.

We specialise in delivering holistic, end-to-end security solutions through our Total Security Solution model—designed with cultural awareness, practicality, and long-term sustainability in mind.

NT Security Solutions is proudly Aboriginal-led and Territory-focused. We are passionate about empowering local communities through genuine opportunities in employment, training, and collaboration, while helping to create safer environments for all.

As a small, dedicated team of security consultants, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and building lasting partnerships with our clients. While many providers offer CPTED Security Audits, few can match our team’s specialised knowledge, experience, and community-driven approach in this field.

Together, we’re working to build a safer, more secure future—for our clients, our communities, and the Northern Territory.

History of Crime
History of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design

While the [link below] provides a summary of CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) on Wikipedia, it’s important to recognise that these principles have existed for thousands of years across different cultures and civilisations.

Historically, cities and villages were designed with natural security in mind—protecting essential resources like water, food, and land from theft or invasion. Features such as moats, castle walls, elevated buildings, rivers, and open clearings are all early examples of CPTED in practice, used to deter hostile tribes or clans from taking control.

In an ideal world, CPTED principles would be considered from the very beginning of any city, business, or home design. However, these concepts are often overlooked during early planning stages. Over time, changes in the environment, urban growth, or social conditions can create new risks—requiring additional controls to be added later.

That’s why regular CPTED audits and inspections are vital. They help ensure your property continues to remain safe and secure, adapting to the evolving landscape while maintaining strong, proactive protection.
